Miranda Lambert sure likes to keep her fans on their toes as she shared a sneak preview at what’s to come next in the Pistol Annies career with a subtle photo hint.

With just the landscape of a guitar, a writing pad and a glass of wine, Lambert seemed to be hard at work finding inspiration for whatever the country trio do next. Although each of the members of the Pistol Annies have expressed interest in getting back together, the social media share from Lambert verified that the girl gang will release something new to ease the anticipation of their supporters.

“I sing (and write ….and drink) in the shower. #andsoitbegins#music #maybepistolannies💗 #songstarts#acoustics,” Lambert wrote alongside the post.

The Pistol Annies made their debut as a supergroup back in 2011 during an ACM event where they performed their hit, “Hell on Heels,” for the first time. Blowing up as an overnight sensation, the girls released two full-length albums with the last record hitting shelves back in May of 2013.

The three went on a hiatus for the next few years to focus on their solo careers, but Lambert and bandmember Ashley Monroe reassured fans in 2016 that they would come back together in the future for another project.

In the meantime, Lambert will balance her Pistol Annies life with her own career by trucking along on the Livin’ Like Hippes Tour during the next few winter months before joining on board the Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town for the majority of the summer.

No date for the release of new Pistol Annies music has been announced at this time.
