Miranda Lambert was an open book on a recent episode of The Bobby Bones Show, answering a crazy-wide range of questions from the popular radio host and media star. And some of her revelations were more surprising than expected.

Explaining everything from her new “Tequila Does” remix to how she sneaks out for “Sunday fun-day” at her honky tonk in downtown Nashville, Casa Rosa, Lambert showed once again why she’s one of country’s most authentic stars. But perhaps the biggest revelation was her admission that she’s currently watching Harry Potter … for the first time.

“Honestly, I’m on the ‘Harry Potters’ for the first time in my life,” she said with a laugh. “We’re on the last movie … My husband and I had a trade — he would watch Lonesome Dove and Tombstone, and I would watch Harry Potter — so we had a deal.”

After Bones admitted that he’d never seen the boy-wizard classics either, Lambert gave the film series her stamp of approval — and might even go back to read the books, she said.

Meanwhile, the chart topper had plenty of music to discuss, weighing in on the “why not?” inspiration behind her “Tequila Does” remix with Telemitry. It’s the Texas native’s first-ever remix, and she says the idea was born after fans at a private show filled the dance floor for the song’s original version. Lambert also opened up about her husband’s singing skills (or lack thereof), and the genesis of her hit, “Settling Down.” But there may be more new tunes on the way.

According to other reports, Miranda Lambert has been spending a lot of time in the recording studio. And she’s been writing with Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack, Lainey Wilson and more. Apparently, her next album is coming sooner than later.

“Stay tuned,” she told Taste of Country Nights. “It’s not far.”
