Miranda Lambert To Debut New Project Tonight At ‘Girls’ Night Out’ Taping

After accepting four awards at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, Miranda Lambert revealed she’s got a little surprise up her sleeves for tonight’s Las Vegas taping for Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country.

“I can't say too much about it because I want it to be a surprise, but it's called Pistol Annies and we're debuting tomorrow night on the ‘Girl's Night Out’ special,” the two-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year told reporters backstage.

Miranda didn’t want to spoil the surprise, but she did reveal that the new trio is comprised of herself and singer/songwriters Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley.

“They're great friends of mine and we've just been writing songs like crazy and I've always kinda wanted to do a girl project. It's not your typical girl trio and we definitely have an edge,” she said with a laugh.
