Mitchell Tenpenny provided some much-needed comedic relief in a time filled with uncertainty thanks to a video he posted on his Instagram earlier this week. The caption simply says, “I’ve always been afraid of the unexpected even when I expect it.” The video then shows Tenpenny walking cautiously up to his garbage can outside.

“So, I got a squirrel in my trash can, and I need to put stuff in my trash can, so I just figured I’d film this,” he says in the video. “I’m probably going to scream.”

The singer then proceeds to open the trash can and the video ends abruptly as the squirrel goes flying into the air and Tenpenny screams.

Tenpenny is just one of the many musicians who is currently not touring due to the coronavirus. He was among the country artists who had to cut their trip to the Country To Country Festival in the UK short due to the mounting pandemic and travel restrictions.

“We flew all the way to beautiful London and had to immediately get on another plane and head back to the United States,” he wrote in a post on March 12. “We are flying back now. I can’t express to y’all how excited we were to finally have the opportunity to play your amazing city and to see the amazing country music fans the world has to offer. I promise we will get back as soon as we can! But for now be smart be safe and f— this stupid Corona Virus! Love y’all.”
