Eddie Montgomery from Montgomery Gentry will keep the band’s legacy alive by celebrating their 20th year as a duo with a massive tour planned for 2018.

After the tragic and sudden passing of Troy Gentry in a freak helicopter accident, it was unsure whether Montgomery would continue on without his partner. Appearing at a few events and paying tribute to his country music pal at the 51st Annual CMA Awards, he decided to honor Gentry by sticking to the Montgomery Gentry plan and creation of new music.

With new music in the form of their Here’s to You album release comes a brand new run of concerts dubbed the Here’s To You Tour, set throughout most of 2018. Montgomery Gentry will open a select couple of dates for Alabama before heading out on a headlining tour from early spring to early fall.

“I’m anxious to get back out on the road and play some new music for our friends and fans,” Montgomery said in a press release. “Next year marks the 20th anniversary of our band – we’ve got lots to celebrate and look forward to in 2018.”

The tour will kick off in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on January 19, 2018, and run until September 15 with the final date set in Ventura, California. No details about purchasing tickets has been released at this time.

To prep for the Here’s To You tour, fans can stream the Montgomery Gentry catalogue, including the poignant single, “Better Me,” on Spotify now.
