Controversial country star Morgan Wallen has announced has announced full scale tour after nearly a year out of the spotlight, plotting a months long run called The Dangerous Tour.

Kicking of February 3, 2022, in Evansville, Indiana, and hitting arenas in 46 cities through next September, the tour marks Wallen’s first official tour since the early 2021 backlash that forced a retreat from public life. At the time, his Dangerous: The Double Album was ruling the Billboard 200, and it continued to do so even after Wallen decided to cancel all 2021 tour dates and called on fans not to defend his use of a racial slur, captured on video by a neighbor’s doorbell camera.

Despite the media firestorm, Dangerous made Wallen the most popular American artist for months after the incident, even as the Tennessee native stayed true to his word and kept out of public view. He only recently began to emerge, going on Good Morning America for a frank discussion with Michael Strahan; making a surprise appearance at a Luke Bryan concert in Nashville and hosting an acoustic benefit for Tennessee flood victims. But next year’s tour will mark a turning point.

More recently, Wallen has begun performing one-off shows and even broke a ticket-sales record at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, beating out the mark set by Garth Brooks by selling over 36,000 tickets in 90 minutes for three shows in December. He also recently performed in front of 31,000 fans in Mobile, Alabama, and The Dangerous Tour figures to host some of the biggest crowds in country music.

Joined by opening acts HARDY and Larry Fleet, Morgan Wallen’s The Dangerous Tour will make stops in cities from coast to coast, highlighted by appearances at Madison Square Garden in New York City; Bridgestone Arena in Nashville; and more, including a tour-wrapping show at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 24, 2022. All arena dates are set to go on sale beginning on Friday (11/19), with amphitheater shows – in addition to Ball Arena in Denver, CO, and STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA – on sale December 3.
