“Music City Keep On Playin'” Raises $1.7 Million

Some of country music’s hottest stars including Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, and Kellie Pickler performed on last nights “Music City Keep On Playin'” telethon on GAC. Many other artists such as Josh Thompson, James Otto, and Whitney Duncan spent time in the phone banks answering calls and taking people’s donations.

As of midnight, the benefit raised a total of $1.7 million!

Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly (who hosted the show along with Desperate Housewives’ James Denton) kicked off the show with a $100,000 donation. Other large donations came from the Academy of Country Music, who gave $250,00 and $100,000 from Big Machine Records.
