Sunrise Hospital turned into a concert venue for the patients and medical personnel as Musicians on Call came to brighten up their day with a little bit of live music.

After the horrific tragedy of the Las Vegas shooting, the organization made its way, with a few country music faces in tow, to one of the Vegas-area hospitals treating victims from the incident to provide them with a dash of joy. Artists such as Michael Ray, Charles Esten, Brandon Ray and a number of others joined together to perform for the survivors and provide them with the healing power of music.

As Michael Ray hit the stage, he emotionally thanked the first responders and medical teams for saving lives during that night and praised them for all of the work they put in despite sometimes not receiving the attention they deserve for their sacrifices.

“Everybody kind of overlooks you guys (hospital staff and first responders) because it’s your job and everyone thinks you have the time to decompress, but you don’t, because you have somebody relying on you,” Ray told the crowd tearfully.

Smiles spread quickly throughout the entire Sunrise Hospital facility as nurses and doctors danced along to the beats provided all the way from Nashville. While many country stars gave back in their own unique ways, Musicians on Call reminded patients that music will always support them no matter how dark the situation at hand may be.

The country music community continues to pull together to lift the victims from the Las Vegas massacre up by encouraging donations to victims’ funds and even giving proceeds of their shows away to help pay for the medical costs of so many that were wounded during the festival.

Those who want to get more involved with helping the Las Vegas victims out can head to American Red Cross, Las Vegas Victims Fund, Music City Cares Fund and so many more charitable options to make a difference in someone’s life.
