Before the show makes its big comeback in January for its fifth season, Nashville is adding another character to the cast list to stir up a little bit more drama.

Known for his power and confidence, according to Deadline, he plans to make a big splash in the water for the upcoming season.
The writers of Nashville have been expanding the amount of roles for season five with the hiring of Bridgit Mendler, Jen Richards and a handful more to the character list. While it’s unsure of what kind of storylines they’ll put into the mix, it can be said that the Nashies are ready to see their favorites continue on their intense paths in music and life.
The end of season four left on a cliffhanger for Hayden Panettiere’s character, Juliette Barnes, as she took off on a flight which then went off the radar suddenly. Other series regulars like Connie Britton as Rayna James and Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne will also return to the show for season five.
Fans can get excited to start counting down the days to the fifth season of Nashville, premiering on January 5 on CMT.
