‘Nashville’ Recap: Sexy But Lots Of Unanswered Questions

HAYDEN PANETTIERE, CONNIE BRITTON

“Big-hat events,” horses and sexy time were on the docket for ABC’s “Nashville” this week, but there were still plenty of unanswered questions.

We left off with Lamar Wyatt plotting revenge behind bars, Scarlett O’Connor struggling to learn the ropes of the big time music biz, Deacon Claybourne toying with tunes again, and Gunnar Scott possibly forming a new music group with Avery. When will any of these character plots play out?! So frustrating.

All that aside, there were still some hot makeup sessions. Avery and Scarlett have been growing closer the past few episodes, but was their past love for one another rekindled? Also, who could forget Juliette’s hookup with millionaire Charles Wentworth from a few weeks back? Yes, the duo met up again for a scandalous rendezvous with lots of skin. The jig might be up though. It’s only a matter of time until they get busted, but by who?

CONNIE BRITTON, WILL CHASE

Rayna is still trying to split Highway 65 from Edgefield Records and is on the prowl for investors. She may have found her knight in shining armor too. Country superstar Luke Wheeler seems to be after her heart. He opens his tour to RayRay’s front runner, Scarlett, but who knows what will happen, given the young starlet’s inexperience with big crowds and fanfare.

A slight switch from past weeks – episode seven of Nashville will NOT air next Wednesday. A fitting move for ABC since they will be airing the “47th Annual Country Music Awards” in its place.
