Dixie Chicks’ lead singer Natalie Maines and her husband are calling it quits after a 17-year union.
TMZ is reporting that the singer, 42, has filed for divorce from her husband, actor Adrian Pasdar, citing irreconcilable differences. Maines is reportedly asking for joint custody of the couple’s two children, Beckett Finn, 12, and Jackson Slade, 16.
A rep for the Dixie Chicks’ frontwoman declined to comment on the situation, calling it “a private family matter.”
After meeting at fellow Chick Emily Strayer’s wedding in 1999, Maines and Pasdar, who is best know for his role on the hit show, Heroes, wed on June 24, 2000 in Las Vegas at A Little White Wedding Chapel.
