Country’s cutting edge gets a home of its own on Spotify today (March 31), as the streaming platform launches the all-new Indigo playlist.

Envisioned as a depository for artists who hold fast to country tradition — while still pushing the genre toward an all-new future — the playlist features hours of music from some of the genre’s modern trailblazers. Names like Tyler Childers, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, The Highwomen, Yola, Ashley McBryde, Jason Isbell, Orville Peck, Brent Cobb, Tanya Tucker, Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Chris Stapleton, Paul Cauthen, Hailey Whitters and more pepper the list, which takes its name from a pair of country staples — the color used to dye blue jeans and the term “indigo child,” which Spotify explains as “a way to describe someone with extraordinary talent who plays by their own rules.”

“We are excited to introduce the new Indigo playlist to our diverse spectrum of country music listeners,” says Spotify’s Senior Editor, Laura Ohls. “Spotify continues to be deeply committed to supporting the country music community and culture, and with the launch of Indigo, we hope that fans will explore the many facets of the genre to find new music they will love.“
