A newly upgraded website dedicated to the Man in Black is now up and running, unlocking a virtual treasure trove of materials related to Johnny Cash’s life and music.

The new, fully-searchable JohnnyCash.com gives fans access to an encyclopedia of materials from Cash’s career and personal life, with visitors invited to comb through mountains of private photos, vintage concert footage and hand-written notes, as well as Cash’s recordings, film and TV appearances. It’s the most complete collection of the monumental artist’s work and influence ever assembled online, and his son, John Carter Cash, says it will help give the world a better idea of the man his father was.

“I am thrilled that everyone who loves my father and his music will now have a comprehensive place to learn more about the man, his life, and his ongoing legacy,” he says.

Visitors to the site will have in-depth access to Cash’s whole discography — totaling 93 albums and 162 singles, plus compilations, soundtracks and various special guest appearances. More than 2,300 live performances also appear on the site, with a details Song List helping fans find that elusive version of their favorite track, no matter how obscure.

The site also lays out Cash’s Billboard chart history, collects all the movies and TV shows he either appeared in or was the subject of, and outlines the 52 books published by Cash or written about him. His extensive list of awards are also highlighted and searchable, there’s a timeline section where fans can look up this day in Johnny Cash history and for the first time Cash’s tour history has been archived. Covering almost 4,300 concert dates, set lists, photos and videos available for a small number so far — but fans are encouraged to submit any photos, videos or other memorabilia they might have to expand the database.

But for an artist who’s public life has been extensively documented in the past, it’s the personal items which may be most interesting to fans. Take for example Johnny and June’s hand-written recipe for their vegetarian “Cash Burgers,” filled with rice and nuts and “invented” on October 7, 1995. The ingredients were all sourced “from the health food store” in Hendersonville, it says in Cash’s pen.
