Things are about to get a bit more “Crazy” in Music City: a museum dedicated to Patsy Cline is in the works.

The founder of the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville, Bill Miller, announced that his family organization will be honoring the late country icon with her own museum right in the heart of Nashville. The project will begin construction in June, with unconfirmed word about when the museum will be open to the public.

Cline was a part of the Nashville country sound back during the 1960s and later transitioned on to become one of the greatest crossover voices of the century. Her poignant stamp on country music gave Miller the gumption to celebrate her fantastic career through the making of the museum.

“Of all the artists in the history of country music, few are as recognized and as recognizable as Patsy Cline. Despite the fact that she passed decades ago, her impact and presence are every bit as big today as ever. It’s a pleasure and an honor to be working with Patsy’s children on this world-class museum project,” said Miller in a press release.

The teamwork between Cline’s family and the Miller family will contribute to the museum’s collection of Cline to display the legacy she left on the music industry.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with and experience what Bill will present to old and new fans alike,” added Julie Fudge, Cline’s daughter.

The museum will be constructed in downtown Nashville, near the Johnny Cash Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame alike.
