Payton Howie Celebrates the Good Times In ‘Never Go Home’ Video

Rising country singer/songwriter Payton Howie is channeling her inner Gretchen Wilson “Redneck Woman” vibes on the music video for her latest song, “Never Go Home,” and Sounds Like Nashville has your exclusive premiere of it.

Shot in Nashville by Kevin Garcia (Jay Leno, G-Easy, Khalid, Korn), the no-frills spirited visual was filmed at a vibrant, summery lake hangout Howie had thrown for her friend. There’s beer, jello shots, beer pong, beach balls, and even a cliff jump at the end.

“The music video shoot for ‘Never Go Home’ was such a blast. We literally just threw a party out on Hole In The Wall Island in Nashville, TN and brought the camera crew along with us,” the country newcomer tells SLN

“Oh we’re gonna live while we can (Gonna live it, gonna live it) / So get that drink in your hand (Raise it high, raise it high, raise it high) / We could call it a night but you know that we won’t / ‘Cause the party don’t stop if we never go home,” Howie sings in the ebullient and rollicking chorus, all ready to usher in a darn good time. Cameo appearances in the clip include Michael Austin from Season Four of The Voice and Erik Halbig, lead guitarist for Sara Evans and Thompson Square.

“Considering the year we all had, I wanted this video to make [fans and viewers] feel like [they’re] right there partying with us and remember what it feels like to get together and let loose with friends and family.” Adds Howie, “For me, the craziest part of the video shoot was jumping off that cliff! I thought that’d be the perfect ending to a long day of living it up. Also made a pretty cool ending to the video.”

Prior to “Never Go Home,” Howie released a string of singles, which include “Freedom,” “Run Boy Run” and “F150.” Today, the emerging artist has amassed 37k Followers & 429.8k likes on Tik-Tok, with over 8k followers and growing on Instagram.
