Philip Seymour Hoffman: Dead After Apparent Overdose; Country Music Community Reacts
Today, Hollywood lost one of the greats, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Hoffman was an acclaimed actor, known for his roles on stage and screen. He was found dead in a New York City apartment by an assistant.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the death, but its suspected that he died of an apparent overdose.
Hoffman struggled with addiction over the years. According to TMZ, he entered rehab back in may of 2013 for his addiction to heroin as a preventative measure before getting close to a major relapse. Hoffman had been clean for 23 years before his relapse in 2012.
The acclaimed actor earned an Oscar for his role in 2005’s “Capote,” as well as nominations in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in films “The Master,” “Doubt” and “Charlie Wilson’s War.”
Following the news of his death, the country music community took to Twitter to express their condolences…
