Few moments stand out to country stars more than their first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, and for up-and-coming artist Jordan Fletcher, that memory is still as clear as a photo.

Last Friday (January 21), the fresh-faced artist got his first taste of country’s most hallowed stage, standing on the same floorboards as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and countless more. As the old saying goes, the circle remains unbroken, and with his debut EP coming this Friday (January 28), you can get a look at the experience below.

Exclusively sharing some behind-the-scenes pics with Sounds Like Nashville today (January 25), Fletcher says if it weren’t for having proof, he still might not believe his Opry debut happened. The Jacksonville native got his start selling merch for bands like Muscadine Bloodline, just so he could also sing a few songs before their set, but since then he’s been racking up the milestones. A co-writer with credits like Riley Green’s “Better Than Me” and Chris Bandi’s “Leave It to A Song” to his credit, Fletcher has racked up millions of streams and even toured with Kip Moore in recent years. But being on the Grand Ole Opry is something different.

“Being able to perform at the Opry is such a dream come true,” he tells SLN. “There have been so many legendary artists that have stood in the circle, so to be able to share the stage with those folks is unbelievable. I couldn’t be more grateful for this incredible opportunity.”

Here’s to hoping the incredible opportunities keep coming — and with his debut EP True Stories arriving this Friday (January 28), it seems likely they will. You can pre-save the project here, and while you wait to hear his new tunes, check out these photos of Jordan Fletcher’s Grand Ole Opry debut.
