Day three of Country Thunder just came to end and it was another great day filled with awesome country music! Temperatures rose into the 90s but that didn’t stop the fans from coming out in full force….and neither did the mud. That’s right, mud.

Our correspondent reports that a rain storm rolled through Twin Lakes, WI last night and left the area near the stage with 4 inches of standing water. Country Thunder crews worked hard to clean it up and the show went off on time without a hitch, so kudos to the crew for their hard work! While some chose to go barefoot and brave the mud, others turned to rain boots. Apparently, fans cleaned the local WalMart out of their rubber boots! They weren’t going to let a little bud stand in their way of the show.

Unfortunately, our correspondent didn’t make it in time for Neal McCoy’s set, but she was able to snap a photo of him backstage. He was in the middle of an interview with GAC, so be sure to look out for it soon!

Lorrie Morgan played a lot of upbeat songs thoughout her performance (she said it was too hot to sing ballads). One of the highlights from her set was when her son, Jesse Keith Whitley, joined her for a duet. She mentioned that she’s getting ready to embark on a European tour and that she’s starting to work on a new album.

Next up was Craig Morgan. Our correspondent had never seen him live before and said that she was thoroughly impressed. He also kept things light with a fun, high energy set. He slowed things down a bit with an outstanding rendition of “Amazing Grace” and also performed his latest single, “This Ole Boy.” Morgan also mentioned that he’s in the process of recording a new album.

Darius Rucker played all of his hits including “Come Back Song” and his current single, “I Got Nothin’.” In addition, he performed a cover of the Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker” and ended his set with a fantastic cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” While on stage, he mentioned that he had played some golf and basketball before the show today.

The always fabulous Martina McBride closed out day three of Country Thunder. The “Teenage Daughters” singer performed a few songs from her forthcoming studio album including the poignant ballad “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” which happens to be her brand new single. She also performed a few fan favorites including “Wild Angels” and “This One’s For The Girls.”

Be sure to check back tomorrow for photos from the final day of Country Thunder!
