Nashville-based talk show Pickler & Ben has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Co-hosted by country singer Kellie Pickler and Ben Aaron, the show is up for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Hosts, and also for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program. That nomination is for pop rock artist Ben Rector’s performance of “Old Friends.”

“We are so grateful to be nominated in this category, and Ben and I couldn’t do this without the amazing Pickler & Ben family we get to work with every day,” Pickler says about the nod for Outstanding Hosts – which the duo was also nominated for last year.

“Last year I said we weren’t going to beat Steve Harvey, and I was right,” Aaron jokes, adding “I’m not going to make any predictions this year.”

Pickler & Ben was created by a team which includes former Executive Producer of the Oprah Winfrey Show Lisa Erspamer and country star Faith Hill. The lighthearted lifestyle program is now in its second season, and can been seen in 175 markets across the U.S.

Meanwhile, rising country songstress Ashley McBryde (“A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega”) has also been nominated for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program. She’s being highlighted for performances of “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” “El Dorado” and “American Scandal” on CBS This Morning Saturday.

The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, on May 5.
