Pregnant Maddie & Tae Star Goes on Bedrest, Tour Dates Postponed

Just over a month after announcing her pregnancy to the world, Maddie & Tae singer Taylor Kerr has been placed on doctor-ordered bedrest, causing the duo to postpone their upcoming tour.

Writing on social media Monday (Dec. 27), the “Woman You Got” singers explain that Kerr and her baby are healthy, but a doctor wants the country star to stay off her feet. Kerr will temporarily be kept off the stage, with rescheduled dates for CMT Next Women of Country Tour: All Song No Static to be announced soon.

“As excited as we are to get out on the road and see everyone, we are holding off on our return a little bit longer,” the post says. “Tae and her baby are doing great, but the doctor has placed her on temporary bedrest. Out of precaution, we are postponing our upcoming tour dates. Rescheduled dates to be announced soon. We appreciate your understanding and we’ll be back on tour with new music as soon as we can!”

The CMT Next Women of Country Tour: All Song No Static was due to start January 6 in Oklahoma City, with Maddie & Tae headlining 16 dates alongside rising talent Callista Clark and Sacha. It was expected to be a full-circle moment for the duo, who joined the annual CMT tour in 2014 as opening act after breaking out with “Girl In a Country Song.”

Kerr announced she and hit-making husband Josh Kerr were expecting a baby girl just a few days before Thanksgiving, flaunting her baby bump in a charming gender-reveal party pic. The baby is due sometime next spring.

Meanwhile, Maddie & Tae were featured on Brett Young’s The Weekends Tour earlier this year, and released new songs “Madness” and “Life Ain’t Fair.” On January 28, they’ll release the six song EP, Through The Madness Vol 1.
