Priscilla Block Celebrates Body Positivity In Colorful ‘Thick Thighs’ Video

Priscilla Block recently released a music video for “Thick Thighs,” a humorous tune preaching body positivity. The video, directed by Logen Christopher, follows the upbeat feeling of the song as it shows Block and friends dressed in bright workout clothes and begrudgingly taking an exercise class before heading to a colorful pool party to dance the day away. These scenes are interspersed with clips of Block sitting alone belting out the relatable tune.

I can’t be the only one who likes extra fries over exercise, I never eat the produce that I buy, so why even try / You can’t spell diet without die, I’ve been eating carbs since ’95, and I heard thick thighs save lives,” she sings in the chorus.

While the song and the video are lighthearted in nature, the song sends a much-needed message about accepting one’s self. That is a message Block relates to personally, especially being in the music business.

“I hope that this video makes you know that you are MORE than enough,” says Block. “I spent so many years of my life, nitpicking every part of my body. I’m the girl that has tried and failed every single diet out there… ESPECIALLY THROUGH QUARANTINE!! One thing I know is that life is short. Eat the damn fries… wear the bikini… and twerk in the kiddie pools!”

Block rose to fame after her song, ‘’Just About Over You,” went viral on the video-sharing app, TikTok. This led to mainstream attention and a record deal with Mercury Nashville. Since then, Block has released “Thick Thighs” and another humorous, female-centered song called “PMS.”
