RaeLynn Promises to Be Polarizing

RaeLynn

sat down with CountryMusicIsLove to chat about her new music before her show at the Las Cruces Music Festival on Friday (4/24). The 20-year-old was thrilled to be in in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for the third annual event where she was able to showcase her new single, “For a Boy.”

“My set list is very upbeat, very fun,” RaeLynn told CMIL. “We have a couple of covers of things I did on ‘The Voice’ and some fun stuff that I just love to do. It’s a fun set. Everything I do is original, every song on my album is going to be original. I really love doing these 45-minute set because they show off what is going to be on my album.”

The singer-songwriter’s set included tunes from her EP such as “Kissin’ Frogs” and a cover of Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass.”

RaeLynn is proud of the new music she’s working on, but won’t be offended if you don’t like it. She admitted the best advice she’s ever gotten from mentors Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert is to never be lukewarm. “I want to be that artist that they’re are like, ‘That’s RaeLynn,’ they either love me or they hate me,” she explained. “I think that’s a really good trait to have as an artist.”
