For Rascal Flatts, the future of country music is where they want to be.

As a trio that’s been around the format for almost two decades, they’ve found great success within their dynamic sounds that transformed the norm for what country music used to stand for. While they pushed the envelope with their pop-infused country radio singles throughout their career, fans have flocked to their unique and universal sound with positive responses.

The guys of Rascal Flatts hope to see acts both new and old experiment with the newness that country music has developed over the past couple years, and they even want to be a part of it themselves.

“Yeah it’s amazing because country music has evolved so much through the years obviously and I think this genre has grown so much through the years.  And I think it needs everybody that’s in it to make it what it is. I go back to Jay and Gary moved here in the mid 90’s, late 90’s, and I moved here in 1998. We moved here because we wanted to be a part of country music in some way. I mean obviously it exceeded our dreams way beyond what we ever thought. But we’re proud to be part of country and wherever it’s headed, we can’t wait to go there,” Joe Don Rooney of the group said.

Rascal Flatts is currently promoting their latest single, “Yours If You Want It,” on country radio now. The song is the first track released off of their upcoming album, which will come out later this year.
