With those unmatched harmonies and classic country song, Rascal Flatts left hockey fans in awe over their beautiful performance of the National Anthem on Thursday night (4/12).
The trio showed up in Music City to root for their hometown team by singing the Anthem before the first playoff game of the Preds’ run. Sounds phenomenal in order to boost up the crowd filled throughout the arena as well as the teams about to hit the rink, Rascal Flatts effortlessly accomplished their goal of the night before watching the competition themselves.
“Hi! Check out @rascalflatts tonight singing the anthem at @predsnhl first rd playoff game 1. Thanks #preds we are honored you invited us!🇺🇸 #godblessamerica #patriotism #hockey#fans #proud #to #be #an #american,” Joe Don Rooney of the group posted to Instagram hours before the big match-up.
Last year, a number of huge names celebrated America and the Nashville hockey squad by singing the National Anthem. Anyone from Carrie Underwood to Trisha Yearwood to Little Big Town showed up in support during last season, causing a commotion in favor of Nashville’s spirit.
Fans of both the Nashville Predators and country music can continue to tune into the playoff games held at Bridgestone Arena to find out what other stars will take their rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to the ice as the Preds fight their way to the Stanley Cup Finals.
