Re-Live Jana Kramer’s Emotional ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Performance
Dancing to Martina McBride's "In My Daughter's Eyes," Kramer dedicated her contemporary routine to her sweet little daughter, Jolie.
Jana Kramer brought all of the emotions about the past into every intricate move in her contemporary dance for this week’s episode of Dancing with the Stars.
Taking the love she has received from the birth of her daughter, Jolie, as inspiration for this week’s theme, Kramer explained how the strength she has learned from her baby has translated into a happier life for the both of them.
“I feel like since I’ve had Jolie, I’m the strongest I’ve ever been in my entire life,” Kramer tells her partner, Gleb Savchenko, while rehearsing in the studio. “She has completely given me strength that I didn’t even know was possible for me to have and I, unfortunately, have been in bad situations where I have let people take that away from me.”
Briefly mentioning the abusive relationship that she was in 10 years ago, Kramer reveals that it wasn’t until the birth of Jolie that she realized how great life is now that her daughter is the light of it all.
Dancing to Martina McBride’s “In My Daughter’s Eyes,” Kramer gave the country superstar a call to let her know how much the song means to her and that the dance will only mirror exactly the theme that the song portrays. With both singers being mothers, they discussed how deep the connection with their kids is and how important it is to maintain that unconditional love for them.
Kramer, dressed in a dreamy lilac number, floated across the stage with the trust and support of Savchenko through every lift and pointed step. Throughout each flow, the couple emulated the definitions of grace and strength with a gorgeous emotional send-off by Kramer walking to down center stage toward a cute video of her little daughter.
Grabbing her immediately after the dance for a support kiss and cuddle, Kramer and Savchenko scored a 26 out of 30 for their routine.
