From the small screen of television sitcoms to the bright lights of Broadway, Reba has seen it all when it comes to her acting career. But the country icon doesn’t show signs of stopping her dreams in entertainment anytime soon.

Using her versatility throughout each of the roles she’s signed up for, Reba always looks for the next opportunity to fulfill her acting abilities. With her brand new drama series on tap, the country singer-turned-actress finds herself inspired by her current character to further her résumé in the acting world.

“There are a lot of times when I go to movies and I say, ‘Why didn’t they cast me for that part. I could have done that!’ A dream role would be ten different kinds because I would like to hit all facets, you know the kooky neighbor down the hall or the heroine in a western. There’s just so many different types. I love to watch television. I love movies. So acting is something that it entertains me. Television and movies entertain me so I love to be entertained but I also love to entertain people. So by watching that I want to get in there and do it myself.  So I don’t have one specific dream role, I guess you could say,” Reba said recently.

Reba will soon be known as Sheriff Ruby Adair in the new series, Red Blooded, created in part by the former creator of Desperate Housewives. The cast is currently in the process of filming a handful of episodes in preparation for a green light from the network.

In the meantime, Reba is currently pumping up her current single, “Back to God,” which is playing on country radio.
