Reba McEntire has announced a massive new recording project that completely reimagines her Country Music Hall of Fame catalog — a greatest hits package that goes far beyond the mundane.

Sharing tantalizing details on Friday (August 13), the superstar has revealed plans for a new triple album titled REVIVED REMIXED REVISITED, putting a new spin on her iconic country tunes.

Making an official announcement, McEntire describes the project as a “reimagined collection of her most iconic songs.” It will arrive on October 8, and it will feature three separate discs — each with a different theme.

REVIVED is said to feature “exciting new arrangements of fan favorites like ‘Is There Life Out There’ and ‘Can’t Even Get The Blues,’ recorded with Reba’s touring band.” REMIXED takes songs like “Little Rock” and “I’m A Survivor” and “spins them in ways like you’ve never heard Reba before.” And REVISITED finds McEntire teaming with Grammy winning producer, Dave Cobb, to re-imagine songs “Somebody Should Leave” and “Consider Me Gone” in stripped-down country roots fashion, with a focus on McEntire’s celebrated vocal presence.

That set will also feature the recently announced duet between McEntire and Dolly Parton on “Does He Love You,” and McEntire spoke with Variety about re-doing her most famous work.

“I’ve been continuing to make new albums, and we really haven’t spent the time to slow down enough to revisit and work the catalog and remind people of what we’ve done in the past. I’m really a forward thinker, so that was a little out of my realm,” she admitted, saying she eventually came around to the idea. “I think it’s very important to keep the songs of mine that my fans grew up on (alive). My fans are very loyal, very sweet to me, and I think they’re going to enjoy this three-album package where they can sit down and say, ‘Oh, I remember when Reba sang that in Omaha.’”

On Thursday, McEntire posted a number of social media teasers to break the news, and links to pre-order the set lead to a YouTube playlist featuring three of the new tunes. The raw “Consider Me Gone” takes on a wounded-hearts vibe, with weeping steel guitars and McEntire’s vocal standing resolute, despite the pain. “Is There Life Out There” takes on a comfortable, live-concert feel. And with “I’m A Survivor (Lafemmebear Remix),” McEntire’s empowering 2001 anthem is given a beat-heavy, dance-club makeover.

The set will likely also feature the Dave Aude dance remix of McEntire’s iconic hit, “Fancy,” which was originally shared in 2020. Dolly Parton first broke the news of their “Does He Love You” duet in July. REVIVED REMIXED REVISITED will arrive on October 8, and pre-ordering/pre-saving is available now.
