Reba McEntire to Guest Star on CBS’s ‘Young Sheldon’
Make sure to check her out when the episode airs this February!
Reba McEntire is getting back into the TV game — at least temporarily — guest starring in an upcoming episode of CBS’ Young Sheldon.
Set to air in February, the episode will find McEntire playing a character named June — “the fun, fiery ex-wife of Coach Ballard (Craig T. Nelson).” June is said to strike up an unlikely friendship with Coach Ballard’s girlfriend, Meemaw (played by Annie Potts), and you can bet the red-headed entertainment icon will shine in this role just like she has in the past.
Nominated for a Grammy this year for Best Country Album (Stronger Than the Truth), McEntire previously starred in her own six-season TV sitcom Reba, also appearing in 11 movies and the Broadway production of Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun. She also had a role in the recently released animated film, Spies In Disguise.
Young Sheldon is a family-friendly sitcom starring Iain Armitage which traces the origins of The Big Bang Theory’s popular character, Sheldon Cooper. It airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 p.m.
