Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson Mesmerize at 53rd ACM Awards

Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson shared the stage for the most memorable duet of the 53rd ACM Awards on Sunday evening in Las Vegas when the two powerhouse vocalists performed McEntire’s 1993 hit “Does He Love You.”

Hinting at the collaboration at the start of the show, McEntire joked that she wanted to sing the song with Clarkson originally but her future duet partner was in the fourth grade when “Does He Love You” was released.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this final ACM flashback of the night,” Clarkson said, prefacing their performance. She added that singing the song with one of her friends, family members, and musical heroes was a dream come true.

McEntire appeared on stage moments later in a stunning floor-length gown which happened to be the same sequined red dress she turned heads in 25 years ago when first performing the song. A ballad that stands the test of time, McEntire kicked off the first verse of “Does He Love You” by herself before Clarkson later joined in.

Trading verses on the powerful duet, the women’s spot-on harmonies made for a truly spellbinding performance. The striking ballad of a love triangle highlighted the undeniable vocal power of both singers.

The 53rd Annual ACM Awards were hosted by Reba, and aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
