Reba McEntire Gets Fancied Up With 2019 CMA Awards Performance
Here's your one chance Fancy, don't let me down!
Reba McEntire gave her performance of her iconic hit “Fancy” a colorful twist at the 2019 CMA Awards.
McEntire turned the timeless song into a theatrical number, beginning at the back of the stage donning a lavender robe with sleeves draped in feathers as she sang the first verse. She tore it off to unveil a shimmering red dress underneath, nodding to her iconic red dress she wore to the 1993 ACM Awards, while Maren Morris and Blake Shelton could be seen singing along in the audience that was standing out of respect for the icon and legendary song.
After getting through the second verse, the singer revealed her grand finale outfit, a red bedazzled jumpsuit, hitting every note all the while. As she brought the performance to a close, Shelton and Eric Church were seen beaming as they applauded her efforts.
Prior to her solo performance, McEntire opened the show with her co-hosts Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood, along with Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Jennifer Nettles, The Highwomen and more for a tribute to the women of country music, covering classic hits by the likes of Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.
The 53rd Annual CMA Awards are airing live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
