Reba McEntire’s son, Shelby Blackstock, has gotten 2021 off to a good start — with a marriage proposal in the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”

The race-car driving only son of McEntire and ex-husband Narvel Blackstock, Shelby got down on one knee at Walt Disney World over the holidays, asking girlfriend Marissa Branch to be his wife.

“Closing out the best year of my life the right way — I’m engaged to my best friend,” Blackstock wrote on social media, including a handful of COVID-cautious photos to go with the news. “Now let’s celebrate the way we know best!”

Popping the question in front of Spaceship Earth at Disney’s Epcot theme park, Blackstock is seen proposing to his now-fiancée — who is dressed in a form-fitting athletic dress, mouse ears and a face mask. Branch seems both surprised and elated at the question, and the pair then pose in a loving embrace with the sparkling new ring on Branch’s hand. Brand also posted photos of the ring and of the newly-engaged couple, along with a quote from the Disney movie Hercules.

“People do crazy things… when they’re in love,” she wrote. Congratulations to the love birds and their families!
