Already a country legend and accomplished actress, Reba McEntire will soon toss her hat into the growing field of celebrity podcasts. Starting early next year, the beloved artist will launch her own original podcast exclusively on Spotify.

The show doesn’t have a name yet, but McEntire and her team have already figured out where it’s headed. According to an official statement, fans can “tune in to hear Reba’s trademark wit and wisdom as she and expert guests share honest, comedic takes on struggles we all face when it comes to confronting life’s challenges, making good decisions, and creating happiness around us. In a nutshell, it’s Reba’s interpretation of ‘living your best life.’”

“I am so excited to be partnering with Spotify on my new podcast and I’m even more excited to be connecting with my fans in a way I haven’t done before,” McEntire says. “I’m looking forward to sharing some of what I’ve learned from my own life challenges and hopefully learning more along the way. Spotify is the perfect platform to share this journey with my fans, old and new!”

McEntire will be far from the first country artist to get personal on her own podcast, but hosting it exclusively on Spotify is a fairly new approach to the medium. No specifics on the deal have been shared, but McEntire now joins other Spotify podcasters like Kevin Bacon (I’m Gonna Be Kevin Bacon) and Midland (Set It Straight With Midland).

“We are so honored that one of country music’s most beloved stars, Reba McEntire, has chosen to launch her podcast exclusively on Spotify next year,” says Spotify Nashville’s Head of Artist & Label Marketing for Spotify Nashville, Brittany Schaffer. “We are all longtime fans of Reba’s extraordinary music, her career, and her razor sharp insights, and are certain that fans will absolutely love hearing a strong female icon like Reba share her advice and personal thoughts on all!”

McEntire’s new podcast is set to premiere in “early 2020.” Before that, she’ll co-host the 53rd Annual CMA Awards with Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton on November 13.
