Reba McEntire will return to the small screen for her second guest appearance on CBS’ Young Sheldon. The country superstar confirmed her return in a post to Instagram on Wednesday (2/24).
“June’s back! Don’t miss her return to Young Sheldon tomorrow night at 8/7c on CBS!” she wrote in the caption.
She first appeared on The Big Bang Theory spin-off show as June, the ex-wife of Coach Dale Ballard (Craig T. Nelson). She strikes up an unlikely friendship with Coach Ballard’s new girlfriend, MeeMaw (Annie Potts).
In a press release, the episode is named “Crappy Frozen Ice Cream and an Organ Grinder’s Monkey.” The episode follows Dale and June as they invite MeeMaw to attend their son’s wedding. The episode also follows Sheldon and George Sr. as they dine with President Hagemeyer (Wendie Malick) and a university benefactor. Georgie offers Missy brotherly advice when Mary won’t let her attend a school dance.
Reba recently surprised audiences when she appeared in the new Kristin Wiig film, Barb & Star Go To Vista Del Mar. In the film, Reba helps save the day as a sea goddess named Trish. During filming, Reba flew down to Cancun and thoroughly enjoyed her time working on the movie.
“Oh, my gosh, I had these hunky guys around me making sure I was safe. I loved every minute of it,” she shared with USA Today recently.
Watch Young Shelton, guest starring Reba, tonight, Thursday, Feb. 25 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
