“I’ve held a lot of roles in my life – sort of like the Colonel himself – but this is certainly the most unique one yet," said Reba recently.

Kentucky Fried Chicken may be known as ‘finger-lickin’ good,’ but Reba is about to make the iconic fast-food chicken brand be known as a country commodity by taking on the role of Colonel Sanders in new advertisements.

Trading in her signature scarlet locks for a gray fox look, the country music superstar looks unrecognizable dressed as the man who invented the KFC brand. Clad in the famous all-white get-up, Reba marks not only the first music superstar, but also the first female to take on the role of the Colonel. As a fan of KFC and fried chicken herself, Reba could not be more excited to act the part of a lifetime.

“I grew up with Kentucky Fried Chicken. It’s part of my story, and I’m so excited to now be part of theirs,” said Reba in a press release. “I’ve held a lot of roles in my life – sort of like the Colonel himself – but this is certainly the most unique one yet.”

Reba’s commitment to Colonel Sanders comes just in time for KFC to release their brand new flavor of Smoky Mountain BBQ fried chicken. The rich flavors are said to mix the sweet sauces from the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, with the smoky hints of spice tasted in Carolinian barbecue. The flavor option will head to KFC stores on January 29.

When she isn’t switching personas with the Colonel, Reba continues to work hard on her music following the huge success of her gospel album, Sing It Now: Songs of Hope and Faith. The album earned herself a GRAMMY nomination in the Best Roots Gospel Album category.

Fans can find out if Reba will earn herself yet another award to her repertoire by tuning in to the 60th GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
