Reba McEntire will soon return to the small screen, not for her own sitcom, but for a guest appearance on CBS’ hit series Young Sheldon.
The country icon will join the sitcom on an episode dubbed “A Boyfriend’s Ex-Wife and a Good Luck Head Rub” as June, “the fun, fiery ex-wife of Coach Ballard (Craig T. Nelson).” She will befriend Coach Ballard’s new girlfriend, Meemaw (Annie Potts). Meanwhile, Sheldon will have to work on a school project with reluctant college students. The special episode is slated to air on Thursday, February 13.
Reba, who was nominated for a GRAMMY this year, previously starred on her own six-season sitcom bearing her same name. She’s also appeared in numerous movies and on Broadway. Her latest role was in the animated film, Spies in Disguise.
Young Sheldon is a family-friendly sitcom starring Iain Armitage which traces the origins of The Big Bang Theory’s popular character, Sheldon Cooper. It airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 p.m.
