It’s coming down to the wire in season 11 of The VoiceIn this week’s live semi-final episode, eight contestants competed for the four remaining spots in next Monday’s live finals. This week, remaining performers not only performed by themselves, but also in a duet with a fellow competitor.

Blake Shelton’s team has one final member still in the running for the big trophy, Sundance Head. After this week’s performance of The Judds’ “Love Can Build a Bridge,” he proved why he deserves to stay in the running. From the second he took the stage, his rendition was heartfelt and full of emotion and brought all the judges to their feet.

“What can you say about Sundance anymore? Every week you come out here and you blow people away, you’re not like anyone else in the world,” Shelton beamed. “You have so much passion and you couple that with so much talent on this stage. This is really happening dude, this could not have been better.”

Prior to his solo performance, Head took the stage with fellow country singer Josh Gallagher for a rendition of “Feelin Alright” by Joe Cocker. Both on guitars, they traded verses to deliver the rocking tune. Gallagher also performed “Danny’s Song” earlier in the evening, which his coach, Adam Levine, said was vocally the best of the night.

In addition to performing Celine Dion’s “I Surrender,” former child country star Billy Gilman paired up with Christian Cuevas for a harmonized version of “Unsteady.” Ali Caldwell of Miley Cyrus’ team represented a country classic when she blended Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton to deliver “I Will Always Love You” that earned a standing ovation.

See who won America’s vote and will continue to the final round tonight during the live results show at 8 PM EST on NBC.
