They may be just a couple of ‘Hometown Kids,’ but The Reklaws know their funny phrases when it comes to playing a round of The Whisper Challenge.
The brother-and-sister duo tag-teamed through the list of random sentences, taking turns at the clue-giver and guesser. Going through the rounds, the two joked and laughed as they thought of some ridiculous wrong answers in pursuit of the right thing.
When Jenna Walker gave hints to her brother for ‘Go milk the cow,’ he wound up mistaking Billy for milk and thong for the to everyone’s surprise. Stuart Walker tried to get his sister on board with ‘Hattie B’s Hot Chicken,’ in which she never picked up on what the words were saying and thought he told her, ‘I need a massage.’
Ultimately, The Reklaws got through the lighthearted challenge and enjoyed the fun moments shared throughout the making of the video.
Currently, the pair continue to build up their fanbase through the spins of their single, “Hometown Kids.” Hoping to create an anthem for nights on the town or chill kickbacks with friends, The Reklaws made the track for anyone who just wanted to have a good time.
“The song itself kind of came out of like 50 songs before it that we’d been writing, trying to find the one to start off this summer, I guess, and what we wanted to start our EP off on a strong note. But we just wanted to write something that our audience could totally relate to, even if you’re from the country. Especially from the country, but also from the city. Every aspect of it is something that we did growing up on weekends, some things that we still do on weekends that we have off. But we just wanted to have a lifestyle song that was something easy and fun,” said Stuart Walker of the group.
