Go Behind-the-Scenes of Restless Road’s ‘One Step Ahead’ Music Video
Their wives and girlfriends are the stars of the show!
When Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Garrett Nichols of Restless Road thought of on-screen love interests for their “One Step Ahead” music video, they knew they’d already found the perfect co-stars: their real-life wives and girlfriends.
In a new behind-the-scenes clip premiering exclusively on Sounds Like Nashville today (10/14), the men take fans straight to the video shoot, which helps them reenact their first dates with their significant others.
“I was really nervous for my first date with Taylor because she was out of my league, so I wanted to do something really special,” Nichols shared with SLN. “I decided to set up a picnic for the two of us and it went amazing!! When we recreated the date for our music video I was blown away by her just like the day we met. I was so happy we got to capture that special moment the way we remember it.”
Like Nichols, Pack wanted to re-live the early stages of he and his wife’s relationship for the sweet clip.
“My wife and I recreated our first date, which was super special,” he recalled. “I set up a bed sheet and a projector, then we watched a movie In the back of a truck. I loved that we got to recreate something that is super important to me, because that night turned into almost 6 years of marriage and 2 beautiful daughters. Getting to show people what started our love story made this video that much more special.”
“You’re lookin at me, I’m lookin at you / Caught up in this moment but I’m thinking bout the future / Maybe later on, we should be alone / You ain’t gotta say it cause I know just what you want / You just keep wearing that dress, I’ll take care of the rest,” the men sing in the opening verse.
