Welcome to the world, Ryder Falcon Atkins! After months of anticipation, Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon have welcomed their first child together.
According to People.com, the precious rainbow baby made his debut Thursday, December 14 in Nashville, weighing 8 lbs., 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches long.
The couple revealed their name for baby Ryder mere months ago, explaining that Atkins had loved the name Ry and wanted to incorporate that somehow.
“I told [Rose] that I always liked the name Ry and she immediately said, ‘How about Ryder and you can call him Ry for short?’” the singer explained to ET. “Before the name came along, we went through a million, but the second she said Ryder Falcon and got the thumbs up from Eli, Ry’s big brother, we agreed that was it.”
The couple tied the knot back in November 2013 during an intimate beachside ceremony on Captiva Island, Fla. They were joined by 20 guests, including Atkins son, Elijah, who served as best man.
