Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon Expecting Baby
The baby is the first for the couple, but joins Atkins' son from a previous marriage.
Baby makes four for Rodney Atkins and his wife Rose Falcon! The couple revealed the news on Tuesday (7/4) as many Fourth of July celebrations rang out across the country.
“Happy Fourth of July! We are thrilled to announce our family is growing. Baby Atkins will arrive in December and we know Elijah is going to be the best big brother,” Atkins singer wrote on Instagram.
Falcon echoed her husband’s sentiment by sharing the same sweet snap and writing, “Happy Fourth of July! We are thrilled to announce our family is growing.”
Aptly dubbed ‘Baby Atkins,’ the little boy or girl will join big brother Elijah, Atkins’ son from a previous marriage.
The couple tied the knot back in November 2013 during an intimate beachside ceremony on Captiva Island, Fla. They were joined by 20 guests, including Elijah, who served as best man. Officiating the ceremony was Charles Hutchins, founder of Holston United Methodist Home for Children, where Atkins spent his infancy before being adopted.
As Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon prepare for their little bundle of joy, the “These Are My People” singer will spend much of the summer out on the road playing numerous festivals nationwide. He most recently hosted his annual Music City Gives Back concert in the heart of Music City, as the kick-off to one of the Stanley Cup Finals games.
