Runaway Country Returns for Second Year with Star-Studded Lineup

Following the success of the first event last spring, the Runaway Country Music Festival is returning for the second year to Melbourne, Florida’s Wickham Park. This time, for 3 days and 3 nights of great country music.

There’s still four months until the curtain is raised on the 2nd Annual Runaway Country Music Festival, but the park is ready, already.

This according to the music festival’s assistant director, Robin Tibbitts, “We can’t wait for May; The line-up is amazing, the new park layout is wonderful, reserved seats are selling out, vending and dining areas are almost full, we’re ready to go!”

Impressed Nashville executives are thrilled to see 2012’s event expanded to three days.

According to Gil Cunningham, President of Nashville’s Neste Entertainment, “Florida’s Space Coast has scored a major coup. Growing to three days after just one year is almost unheard of. Securing one of the biggest country music stars of all time, Alan Jackson, is over-the-the-top.”

While releasing more of the line-up, Runaway Country Director Gary McCann agreed, “Everybody loves Alan Jackson. Easy to see why; 35 number one hits, 60 million albums, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACMs, 3 time CMA Entertainer of the Year, 2 Grammys, recently inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Music City Walk of Fame and he’s on the charts again!”

The lineup also includes Kellie Pickler, Jake Owen, Randy Travis, Brantley Gilbert, Steve Holy and Ashton Shepherd, just to name a few.

More artists are still to be announced, among them, quite possibly “one of the hottest, young country stars on the planet.”

“We are contractually bound not to announce for a few more weeks,” McCann teased. “It will be well worth the wait.”

Music fans are in for a treat; new country, classic country, rockin’ country, and cry-in-your-beer ballads, too…you‟ll experience it all over three great days and nights.

“Just 40 minutes east of Orlando, 12 miles south of Cocoa Beach…it‟s a great weekend getaway and neat experience”, said Tibbitts. “We call it country music heaven; 3 days, 3 nights, 30 artists on 2 stages, covering 400 acres along the beaches and lakes in Melbourne‟s Wickham Park.”
