Runaway June have launched a new contest in which they are inviting fans to send photos of their favorite Christmas memories, and some of those photos just may make it into the music video for their new Christmas single, “When I Think About Christmas.” The trio announced the contest in a video on their website on Wednesday.

“We would love to see moments, pictures, videos of opening presents or ice skating, or skiing, or whatever it is,” says the group’s Naomi Cooke.

“Making a snowman,” adds Jennifer Wayne, as she holds up a photo.

“And we’re going to put them all together in a video to our Christmas single,” continues Cooke. “So, submit them, and we’re going to go through them all, and this is going to be really fun. We can’t wait to see.”

Many people have already participated in the contest and those who haven’t yet have until Wednesday, November 4th to send in their favorite Christmas memories. The trio will then go through them and decide which ones will be featured in the music video for “When I Think About Christmas.”

The new Christmas single is featured on their When I Think About Christmas EP, released on October 16. In addition to the original title track, the five-song EP features another original tune called “Christmas on the Radio,” as well as renditions of “Sleigh Ride,” “O Holy Night,” and “Let It Snow.” The EP is the trio’s first full project since the departure of band member Hannah Mulholland and the subsequent addition of Natalie Stovall.
