Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne Marries Fiancé Austin Moody

First comes love, then comes marriage for Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne as she tied the knot on Saturday evening (January 9).
Wayne married her love, Austin Moody, during an intimate ceremony held for less than 20 of their closest family members and friends in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The couple decided to keep their celebration of love small due to COVID-19, but plan to have a bigger soiree in Nashville in the future.
“We are taking COVID very seriously and have requested that all of the guests receive a recent COVID test before attending,” Wayne and Moody explained to People ahead of the nuptials.
While the wedding had a coastal setting, the two made sure their country roots were shown strong with simple yet stylistic details spread throughout the evening. Moody donned a custom-made Tyler Minor animal-style blazer with blue jeans and a Stetson hat, while Wayne channeled a minimalist vibe with her crepe chiffon-based gown complete with white booties.
What made the day truly special was Wayne’s ‘something borrowed’ item, which honored her grandmother’s engagement ring gifted by her famous grandfather, John Wayne.
“On their 10th anniversary, he matched the diamond and had it reset in a flower setting. Austin used his grandmother’s diamonds to create an engagement ring for me [made with help from my best friend’s mom, Dobrila Pintar,] in the flower setting as well,” Wayne said to People.
The pair were wed by Moody’s “guardian angel” from Nashville, Dianne Krus, and their wedding party included their fur babies, who served as the ringbearers.
Wayne and Moody’s whirlwind romance began five years ago when they met at Ocean Way Studio in Nashville. It wasn’t until mid-2020 that the two got together thanks to Runaway June bandmate Natalie Stovall. Six months later, Moody popped the question to Wayne at the place where they met on December 28, 2020.
Wayne is scheduled to join her Runaway June bandmates on Luke Bryan’s tour later this year.
