Runaway June To Spread Holiday Cheer With ‘When I Think About Christmas’ EP

Country trio Runaway June is set to ring in the festive season with their signature harmonies on their first ever Christmas EP. Titled When I Think About Christmas, the five-track effort will include two brand new originals as well as beloved holiday classics, and is slated to be released on October 16.

“It’s been a long crazy year and working on this music has felt so liberating from the madness of the world,” Naomi Cooke, Jennifer Wayne and Natalie Stovall shares on their latest Instagram post. “When we think about ‘Christmas’ we think of family, peace, rest, love and reflection, gratitude, celebration and we wanted this music to be the soundtrack of what Christmas is to us and hopefully spread a little of that to all of you through this project.”

As per a press release, “Christmas On The Radio” is what the the group calls an “instant classic,” while the title track and other original, “When I Think About Christmas,” is describe by Wayne as a song that “feels like it’s been around for a hundred years.”

Runaway June also says that When I Think About Christmas will feature “all of these beautiful mountain Appalachian sounds,” and their own unique spin on holiday tunes with fiddles and more.

Legendary producer Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls) produced four of the five tracks on the EP, and co-produced “Christmas On The Radio” with Sam Hollander and Brandon Paddock.

Outside of their forthcoming EP, Runaway June’s current single, “We Were Rich,” is climbing up the country radio charts.
