Country/R&B chart topper Sam Hunt has announced his long-awaited second album, setting April 3 for the release of Southside.

Featuring Hunt’s current Top 5 radio hit, “Kinfolks,” along with the slow-grooving “Sinning With You,” the album marks the follow up to Hunt’s triple Platinum debut, Montevallo. That album was released in 2014 and eventually spawned five hit singles — four reaching Number One on Billboard’s Country Airplay radio chart and all earning Platinum certifications or better — helping to make Hunt one of the genre’s most promising new stars. But following the even bigger success of 2017’s “Body Like a Backroad” (a record breaking non-album single which achieved six-times Platinum status and the highest position on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart in country history), Hunt has stepped back from the spotlight, at times even raising questions about his desire to continue making music.

Along with his Southside announcement, Hunt also revealed plans to support the release with a full headlining summer tour, booking more than 40 stops on The Southside Summer Tour. Kicking off May 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the run will swing through cities like Atlanta, Georgia; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Houston, Texas; and San Diego, California; among others, culminating in a September 26 show in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Kip Moore, Travis Denning and Ernest will serve as opening acts, and fans will also hear DJ sets from Brandi Cyrus.

Citi cardmembers will get early access to tickets beginning February 11 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general public on sale starting February 14 at 9 a.m. local.
