Sam Hunt’s new music video for “Hard to Forget” is certainly… ‘hard to forget.’ The country superstar debuted the eclectic clip on Friday (3/20) and features a crew of characters staying at a local motel, dubbed Southside, after his album.

The song, which samples Country Music Hall of Famer Webb Pierce’s 1953 hit, “There Stands the Glass,” is a key component of his upcoming release.

“It took me a little while but finally got the idea and got together with some of my really good songwriting buddies and wrote the song and it all panned out like I hoped it would, so that is one that I’m really excited about,” he admits. “It’s a really important song for the record, because the record is kind of built around that song in a way.”

Hunt’s sophomore album, Southside, is set for release on April 3. The album is set to release on schedule, however, his album release party scheduled for the same day has been canceled. Additionally, the first several dates of his headlining Southside Summer Tour have been postponed. The opening date will now be in Atlanta on June 11, with Charlotte, Raleigh and Bristow being moved to October 1, 2, and 3, respectively. All purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
