Sarah Darling Makes Grand Ole Opry Debut

Sarah Darling made her Grand Ole Opry debut last month singing her new single, “Something To Do With Your Hands.” Not only did the young singer-songrwtier make her first appearance ever on the world-famous stage, but she made it alongside one of the Opry’s most-beloved members, Vince Gill, who was also the show’s host for the evening.

Vince Gill and Sarah Darling performed their song “Bad Habit” together, a track from Sarah’s new album Angels & Devils. Already a fan favorite at Sarah’s shows, “Bad Habit” begins with the vivid proclamation “I want to be your cigarette, I want to linger on your breath/Be the taste you can’t forget and can’t put down.” Vince later brought Sarah on stage to close the show, along with KebMo, to sing “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”

“When I was a little girl my grandpa used to tell me, ‘One of these days you’ll make it to the Grand Ole Opry.’ It’s here!” says Darling prior to her Opry debut. “As a singer, it really is a dream come true to play the stage where so many greats have played. I’m so excited to get to play the Opry for the first time! Not only because Vince Gill is introducing me, and singing with me on a song that I wrote, but because my grandfather will be in the audience. It’s going to be an amazing moment.”
