When Carrie Underwood inspired listeners by releasing the song, “Champion,” some of her biggest little fans took it up a notch by preaching to the choir during their harmonious cover of the anthem.

The chorus of P.S. 22 combined their young voices together for their very own rendition of “Champion” to bring hope to their generation. As the students layer their voices on top of one another throughout the strong song, they make Underwood and so many others proud for their dedication to the performance that even grabbed the look of the singer herself.

“Each and every one of you is most definitely a champion! So much love for the @PS22Chorus This made my day!!! #SingIt #TheChampion @Ludacris,” Underwood posted via Twitter.

Some special guests bring the video up to the next level as well, from Leiara’s stand-out solo for Underwood’s original second verse of the song and mad rapping skills by Joshua and Madison to take care of Ludacris’ empowering verse.

In previous years, P.S. 22 also covered a number of Underwood’s other impactful songs, including “So Small.” Their cover of that hit earned them a visit from the American Idol alum in real time, and gained the forever approval of Underwood for them to continue doing their thing to her music.

“Champion” is available to stream on digital services at this time.
