Scotty McCreery Unveils ‘In Between’ As Latest Single
The American Idol alum shared details about the latest single from his 2018 album Seasons Change.
Country star and American Idol alum Scotty McCreery is set to release “In Between” as the third single off his 2018 album Seasons Change on Monday.
McCreery spent years hoping the song would be a single. Written just seven days after creating the song “Five More Minutes” in 2015, the track is all about finding balance in life.
“I feel like the number one thing I’ve learned in life so far is it’s very important to have balance,” the North Carolina native said. “That’s where this song came from.”
Interestingly, the “This Is It” singer almost changed one line in the second verse for the record, as he is a much different person now than he was in 2015.
“I’m a far cry from being a one-night stand, but I ain’t ready for a ring on my hand,” the line reads, with McCreery ironically now happily married. However, the star decided not to change the line because he felt it reflected where he was in life at the time, he said.
