Shay Mooney’s son Asher has been taught well. Mooney recently shared a video on Dan + Shay’s Instagram page of his three-year-old son asking Amazon’s Alexa to play the Song of the Day, which just so happened to be the duo’s new single, “I Should Probably Go To Bed.”

In the video, little Asher says, “Alexa, play the song of the day,” as Mooney films him. He then gets excited when his request works, saying, “Wow, I did it!” After a high five from his dad, the song starts to play, and Mooney tells him, “Did you know? That’s Daddy and uncle Dan.”

“I Should Probably Go To Bed” was released on July 31st and finds lead singer Mooney singing about going out for the first time since a breakup. However, when he hears his ex-love is at the same bar, he concludes that he should end the night early. The duo also premiered a gravity-defying music video for the song on release day. The single follows “10,000 Hours,” their collaboration with Justin Bieber.

The video of Asher is just one of many photos and videos Mooney has shared of his family of four. For Mother’s Day, Mooney dedicated a post to his wife, Hannah, the mother of their two children. The post included videos of Hannah with Asher and their youngest son Ames, who was born in February. In April, Mooney shared a video of Asher holding his little brother while looking fancy in a little suit jacket.

“I laughed way too hard at this,” the singer wrote. “Might’ve cried a little too ‘cause my boys are growing up too fast.”
